WasteMINZ are the largest representative body of the waste and resource recovery sector, in New Zealand. They required a new website which showcased their services and latest news from the industry. The Board also had some very specific requirements for a member’s only area within the website.
It was a big project, albeit a fun one where we got to create some new and innovative features!
We custom designed and built a great new website which includes the soon to be launched A-Z Waste Guide which provides the public with an easy to follow guide for disposing of and recycling waste by waste type. There is also a Disposal and Recycling Facility Directory, which lists facilities throughout the country, what services they offer and waste they dispose of. Facilities can sign up to be listed within the Directory. All in all, a helpful one-stop waste and recycling shop!
The members’ only section of the website needed to provide a private area for members, who are based all over New Zealand, to come together to discuss current issues, events and network. Once logged in via the WordPress dashboard, each member has access to Discussion forums, where they can start topics, comment and subscribe, as well as access to members’ only information, publications and updates.
Members can add publications for others to read, and there is soon to be a full member database so members can network and interact outside of regular events and the annual WasteMINZ conference.
