Hi there

Today is the day.

Some people are calling it ‘Mobile-geddon’. It’s the day that Google is changing its search engine recipe (or ‘algorithm’ for the more technically-minded of you) for mobile website searches.

In a nutshell… if Google decides that your website is not mobile-friendly, then, all things being equal, it will penalise your site with a lower search ranking compared to sites that pass the test.

The mainstream media are having a field day with this and we’ve heard some pretty wild exaggerations, along the lines of “Your website is set to disappear from Google altogether”.

Not surprisingly, we’ve been getting a lot of enquiries. And the bottom line is “Don’t panic, but you need to sort it out – sooner rather than later”.

The truth is that all websites need to be mobile-friendly anyway, and this is just another reason to bring your website up to speed. It’s highly likely that more than 50% of your traffic is coming from mobile devices, and if your site looks rubbish and is impossible to use, your Google ranking is probably the least of your worries.

So come in for a chat or give us a call. We’ve been designing and building responsive mobile-friendly websites since 2011, so we can definitely sort you out.

We’ve been very busy lately, and there have been a few comings and goings. I hope you enjoy reading about what we’ve been up to.

We love to hear from you, so please let us know if there is anything you need help with – or you want to discuss plans for your website or digital marketing.
