What Food and Fibre CoVE was looking for.

EIT’s Food and Fibre Centre of Vocational Excellence (FFCOVE) sought out Mogul to overhaul their brand and outdated website.

The existing site, managed in-house, had become hard to navigate, overly text-heavy, and lacked essential SEO features.

FFCOVE needed a brand refresh that reflected their position in the market and a website that could effectively tell their story, showcase their project initiatives, and serve as a central information hub.

Michelle Jones, the Marketing Manager at Food and Fibre CoVE, spearheaded the project, and reached out to us with a clear vision of what the revamp should accomplish.

A fresh, objective perspective

A new brand and approach.

The aim was to give Food and Fibre CoVE’s brand and website a fresh new look that was user-friendly and clearly communicated their mission, key projects, activities, and methodologies. We also wanted to make sure it was easy to find online by implementing good SEO practices.

2020.

The original F&F CoVE website was done in two days. It was a brand new entity with little content, so we created a very simple one-page site that organically grew into a full website over the years.

2024.

In 2023, we started a complete brand refresh and rebuild based on what F&F CoVE’s customers wanted to know about them. As the primary source of information about them, the website needed to tell their story – why they exist, what they do and how they do it, as well as share their work.

Delivering results

How we worked.

Every project is different and clients have unique requirements, but a robust approach and process is the key to delivering efficient and effective results.
Approach.
  • Mogul adopted a user-first strategy, focusing on FFCOVE’s specific needs and goals, and the needs of their stakeholders. The process was collaborative at every stage, ensuring the final product aligned perfectly with FFCOVE’s vision. We worked closely with FFCOVE, to offer their team fresh, objective insights and recommendations.
  • We took the time to get to know Food and Fibre CoVE and what they needed. We focused on a user-first approach, thinking about what their visitors would want to see and how they’d want to navigate the site. We worked closely with Michelle and the Food and Fibre CoVE team, making sure to keep things friendly and collaborative.
Solutions.
  • We used one of our trusted partners, Nathan Hall, to revitalise their brand to be more modern and engaging. Part of this work required creating an icon set for each of the industries that the Food and Fibre CoVE team work with.
  • We redesigned the website, making it much simpler and more intuitive. We cleaned up the layout, so it was easier to find information, and gave it a more appealing look. SEO was built into the site from the ground up, helping it to rank higher in search results. We also streamlined the content, making it engaging and straightforward.
  • Throughout the project, communication was key. We stayed in touch with Michelle and her team every step of the way, ensuring the final product met their needs and expectations. The end result is a website that’s not only user-friendly but also does a great job of telling Food and Fibre CoVE’s story.
Results.
  • The community response has been fantastic. The new site is much easier to navigate, and people can now find what they were looking for much more easily.
  • Thanks to our SEO work, the site has also gained better visibility online.
  • Most importantly, the website now effectively shares Food and Fibre CoVE’s mission and the great work they’re doing.
