Searching Engine Optimizing SEO Browsing Concept

In 2018, we had a simple idea: why not help our clients improve their own Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) on a regular basis without needing to pay us?

In a world dominated by search engines, SEO is something you should be doing on a regular basis.

If you’re not on the first page of Google, hardly anybody is going to find you, because hardly anybody looks beyond page one.

We thought it would be especially useful to help our clients write well-optimised blog posts as they wrote them. We looked at the two most popular WordPress SEO plugins, All in One SEO and Yoast (which most of our clients use anyway), and neither of them did this at the time so we decided to build our own SEO plugin.

We wanted our plugin to provide a % score on each page to rate its content against a specific SEO keyword or phrase so the publisher would be able to tweak and test it to make it more attractive to Google for organic search.

After hundreds of hours of work (as all these internal projects are) we started using the Mogul SEO plugin on our own website, as well as the websites of our search marketing clients, with great success. But we never found the time to do anything more with it than that.

Fast-forward to February 2021: we decided to revisit our SEO plugin to see if it might still be a valuable tool that we could use and market more broadly, or if the popular SEO plugins had recently built something similar or better. And lo-and-behold they had!

So we’ve binned our plugin 😔  and now we’re coaching our clients on how to use the page analysis features for All in One SEO and Yoast.

Why do you need SEO coaching?

If you want more quality traffic to your website, then you need to increase your online visibility. The best way to do that is by improving your organic search rankings in Google.

After some client research, we’ve developed the following do-it-yourself options:

  • 1 hr consult and training – to show you how to use the page analysis tool so you can optimise your website
    $250 one-off fee
  • Keyword research – if you’re not sure what people are searching for and you’d like us to give you a head start
    $500 one off fee
  • 1 hr monthly expert coaching – for those who don’t just want to learn the basics, but want to nail SEO
$200 per mth (minimum of 3 months)

And for those of you who don’t have either the time or the inclination to do SEO yourselves, we still offer our monthly Search Marketing managed service – https://mogul.nz/capabilities/seo/.

If you’d like more information about any of these options, or about SEO in general, get in touch.
