If you still haven’t upgraded your website to make it mobile-friendly, you’re about to get a very compelling reason to do so.

Mogul is mobile-friendly

Google, the world’s most popular search engine (with a staggering 88% market share) is about to change the way it ranks websites for searches on mobile devices. From April 21, 2015, when you use Google’s website search on a mobile device, mobile-friendly sites will be labelled, and more importantly Google will use mobile-friendliness as a factor in ranking sites.

Google is making this change because of the overwhelming number of people using mobile devices to search the web. Google wants to promote sites to mobile users that are easy to use and look good on mobile devices.

What this means is that if your website is not optimised for mobile devices, it’s highly likely that your search engine ranking will be affected.

In other words, your competitors’ website might sneak ahead of yours!

You can find out more by visiting Google’s guide to mobile-friendly sites. And if you want to test a few pages of your website, you can use Google’s Mobile-Friendly Test.

And you can talk to us. We’ve been making responsive mobile-friendly sites (the way that Google recommends) for four years, so we can bring your site up to speed, no problems.
